Emily M. (Kuzniar) Kciuk, 99, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Sunday June 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Monica (Mis) Kuzniar.


Emily was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On May 31, 1947, she married Julian Kciuk in Niagara Falls, NY. Julian later predeceased her in 1986 after 39 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by one sister, Mary (late James) Perdikas. Emily was employed as a cook at Niagara Wheatfield High School until her retirement in 1978. Prior to that, she was employed by the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, NY. Emily was a former member of Active Hose Women's Auxiliary and the last member of The Sorrell's Club which originated when she was twelve years old. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and liked to travel. But most of all Emily was devoted to her family and loved being a caregiver to her family members.

Emily is survived by her daughter Carol Curione and was predeceased by one daughter Susan Nicoletti. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Craig (Jill) Curione, Philip (Tami) Curione II, Kevin (Sondra) Curione, Krista Curione, Leah (Tim) Wrate, Adrienne Nicoletti and Taylor Nicoletti; eleven great-grandchildren Austin Bowden, Hannah Bowden, Luca Curione, Tyler Curione, Juliana Curione, Claudia Wrate, Bo Wrate, Emma Curione, Lily Curione, Sadie and Gianni Nicoletti; nieces Shirley Whelan, Diane Salfi, Irene Sisky, Nancy D'Andrea and Arleen Chiasera whom she enjoyed spending time with. Emily is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.


There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, June 20th at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY was held privately by the family.
