Emily (O'Connor) Rizzo, 90 of Niagara Falls, NY, died peacefully in the arms of her loving daughter Michele, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on Monday April 15, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in New York City, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Horgan) O'Connor.

Emily attended school in New York City and later moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1950 where she lived until the present time. She owned and operated the former Emily's Pizza Shoppe in Niagara Falls, NY for over thirty years until retiring in 2004. Emily's greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family and vacationing in Cape Cod with her loving husband and daughters. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends who loved spending time with her and will always remember her by her big heart and beautiful smile.

Emily was predeceased by her husband Anthony Rizzo on January 27, 2000 and her daughter Diane Aquino on June 21, 2005. She is survived by her daughter Michele Rizzo of Niagara Falls, NY; two granddaughters Denise (Eric) Flaim of North Tonawanda, NY and Debra (Joseph) Armone of Tonawanda, NY; two great grandsons Nicholas Flaim and Nino Flaim; her brother James O'Connor of Lewiston, NY; her nieces and nephews Alice (Aurelio) DiRamio of Lewiston, NY; Angela (Jeffrey) DiFant of Syracuse, NY; Anthony DiRamio of Knoxville, TN; James (Michele) O'Connor and Brian O'Connor both of North Tonawanda, NY.

There will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial donations in Mrs. Rizzo's name may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
