Erma J. (Gabrielli) Cavese, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 2, 2016 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Evo and Enes (Pesce) Gabrielli.

Erma was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On June 9, 1951, she married Antonio Cavese at St. Joseph Church. Mr. Cavese predeceased her on July 18, 2011. Erma was a wonderful cook. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Above all, Ermas greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cavese is survived by her three children, Angela (John Vandine) Cavese of Friendswood, TX, Richard (Anita) Cavese of Lewiston and Anthony Cavese of Niagara Falls; five grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Corie, Alexis and Brianna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Anna (late Frank) Vitello and Mary Gabrielli; a brother, Richard (Maryann of North Carolina) Gabrielli; and nephew, Thomas Vitello.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
