Eugene 'Gene' Calandrelli, age 62, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away, after a brief illness, on March 31, 2021 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Fred and Maria (Valery) Calandrelli.

Gene was a graduate of the former La Salle Senior High School, Class of 1976.  From an early age Gene loved writing, and he earned an award for his poetry.  Along with his writing, Gene was a prolific reader as well as a talented musician on the drums.  Gene has a love for Walt Disney World and worked there while he was residing in Florida during the 1980s.

Gene is survived by his son, Stefano Calandrelli and his former wife Frances D'Angelo.  He was the brother of Barbara (late John D.) Marcolini and Fred (Gina) Calandrelli and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held for the family. Gene will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  If desired memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.  Arrangements by M.J.
