Eugene E. Fera, 76 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday February 25, 2011 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Angelo R. and Philomena (Cusimano) Fera.

Eugene was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On May 21, 1955 he married Caroline (Perfetti) Fera in St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. For twenty eight years, he was employed as a yardman for the former Empire Building Supply in Niagara Falls until his retirement in 1999. Eugene was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, where he was also a member of their Holy Name Society and St. Vincent De Paul Society. Eugene enjoyed playing cards on Sunday and Monday with his family and friends. He also enjoyed taking long walks, making pizza at home, and doing jigsaw puzzles. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his humorous ways. He will be sadly missed by his loving family.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Mr. Fera is survived by two children, Anne Terese Fera of Niagara Falls, NY, John A. Fera of Meridian, MS, and two grandchildren, Eric Fera and Matthew Fera. He was the brother of, Violet (late Albert 'Pee Wee') Proietti of Niagara Falls, NY, Angelo 'Ducky' (late Carmella) Fera of Niagara Falls, NY, William Fera of Aberdeen, WA, Alfred (Beverly) Fera of Niagara Falls, NY, late Caroline (late Michael) Gagliano, late Mafalda 'Muffy' (late John) Sgro, late Dominic 'Don' (Jeanette of Town of Niagara, NY) Fera, late Joseph (late Rosemary) Fera, brother-in-law of, Mary (Anthony) Rovert of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Charles (late Rosetta) Perfetti of Niagara Falls, NY, late Gloria (John of Niagara Falls, NY) Onesi, late Joseph (late Martha of Pensacola, FL) Perfetti, and late Anthony (late Elizabeth of Niagara Falls, NY) Perfetti. He was the son-in-law of the late Concetta (late John Cornacchia). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Monday February 28th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Joseph Dumphrey, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.

The parish St. Vincent de Paul Society will offer a prayer service Sunday at 7 PM at the funeral home.
