Eugene V. Fucarino, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Rose (Costanza) Fucarino.

Geno was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1946. On April 23, 1960 he married Julie (Kurek) Fucarino in Kenmore, NY. Geno was employed through the Carpenter's Local 280 in Niagara Falls, NY and worked at various area construction sites. In addition to his affiliation with the Carpenter's Local 280, he was also a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society also in Niagara Falls, NY. Geno enjoyed playing cards, going to the Casino and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife of fifty two years Mr. Fucarino is survived by two daughters Sharon Graci of Niagara Falls, NY and Sandra (Thomas) Carella of Lewiston, NY; one son Eugene 'Geno' Fucarino of the Town of Niagara and was predeceased by an infant daughter Gina Fucarino. He is also survived by five grandchildren Julie Ann Graci, Denise Graci, Thomas (Julie) Carella, Christopher (Michelle) Carella and Alivia Fucarino, seven great grandchildren, one sister Mary Campanaro of Las Vegas, NV and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by three sisters and one brother Verna (Paul) Henchel, Anne (Frank) DiMarco, Dorothy (Joseph) Coscia and David Fucarino.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday April 28th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.
