Eva M. Conti, 88, of Lewiston NY died on Thursday January 22, 2009 at Fairchild Manor in Lewiston NY. Eva was born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada and came to the United States as a child with her family. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Venneri) Bonaro.

On July 24, 1939 she married Joseph Conti (retired NFPD Captain) at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls NY. Mr. Conti predeceased her on July 9, 1983. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Christmas cookies and Italian cookies. A favorite pastime of Eva's was playing Bingo but her happiest times were when her family was together for gatherings.

Eva is survived by six children Joseph (Irene) Conti of Youngstown, NY; Verna (late Thomas) Bruno of Williamsville, NY; Kathleen (John) Zankowski of Rochester, NY; Samuel (Elaine) Conti, Dennis (Patricia) Conti both of Niagara Falls, NY and Christina (Tim) Payne of Dayton, OH; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; one sister Mary (late Leo) Chick of Niagara Falls, NY. She was predeceased by two sisters and one brother Gina (Fred of Santa Ana, CA) Ranalli, Lillie (late Joseph) Genova and John (Rose of Niagara Falls NY) Bonaro. Survivors also include sisters-in-law Jennie Conti and Grace Conti both of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS NY where funeral services will be held on Monday January 26th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sebastian Pierro officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
