Evelyn Cichelli Ensminger, 102, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 8, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Collinsville, OK, she was the daughter of the late Avelino and Augustina (Sariago) Cuervo.

Evelyn moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She was employed in the Nutrition Department for the Aging for Niagara County in the late 1970's.  Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph's Church, as well as their Senior Society, Prayer Group, and After School Program.  In addition, she was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center and at Project Literacy at the Niagara Falls Public Library.  She enjoyed baking, walking, and socializing.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou (Frank) Paonessa and Joyce Moore; her grandchildren, Maria (Andrew) Orcutt, Christina (James) Moses, Warren Moore, Jr., and Elaine Vincent; nine great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Drew, Stephanie, Julie, Jimmy, Anthony, Shannon, Seamus, and Rhiannon; her great-great-granddaughter, Brynn Evelyn, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Louis M. Cichelli, on July 9, 1976, and her second husband, Laverne Ensminger, on December 15, 1998.  She was also predeceased by a daughter, Patricia (late Art) Evarts, her granddaughter, Tammy Paonessa-Conway, as well as her sisters, Laura Martinez, Alice (late Dominic) Conti, and Mary Correa.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11 ^th from 9 – 11:30 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where prayers will be held at 11:30 AM.  Evelyn's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Due to current circumstances, social distancing and masks will be required to adhere with current regulations.  Private interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Schoellkopf Health Care Facility, 621 10 ^th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
