Fabian S. Rosati, 82, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Antoinette (De Rocco) Rosati. He was the devoted husband of Franceen (La Barber) Rosati, whom he married on June 15, 1968, at Sacred Heart Church.
Fabian was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Fabian went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Canisius College, followed by three Master’s degrees from Canisius College, Niagara University, and Stony Brook University.
Fabian proudly enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 until his honorable discharge. He happily continued his military service with the United States Army Reserves. Throughout his career, he served at various military bases across New Jersey, Missouri, and Texas. After 27 years of dedicated service, he retired from military duty. Upon retirement, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal. Additionally, he earned the Drill Sergeant Badge, the Combat Engineer Badge, and the First Sergeant patch.
For more than 40 years, Fabian served the Niagara County Health Department as Senior Public Health Sanitarian, a role in which he dedicated himself to the well-being of his community. He was also active in the Niagara Chamber of Commerce Environmental Committee, where he once served as chairman.
A devout Catholic, Fabian was a longtime parishioner of Prince of Peace Church. His faith guided his life, his work, and the kindness he extended to others.
Fabian was deeply involved in youth athletics and spent several years as a wrestling coach at Niagara Falls High School and a youth wrestling coaching in the Niagara Wheatfield School district. Coaching his sons and countless students brought him great joy.
He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and playing golf, and was a proud member of the Hyde Park Golf League. Known for his generosity, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, and family. He also had a love for dogs. Above all, Fabian cherished the time he spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

(Michelle) Rosati, Esq. and Catherine (Derek) Dunstan; his grandchildren, Lucia, Jake and Dominic; his sister, Rebecca (late Charles) Mayflower, one sister-in-law, Rosemary (Jack) Matheson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
