Fatima Renee Mathews, 45, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of Lee Mathews and the late Sidney 'Taboo' Booze.

Fatima was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Buffalo State College. She was currently employed by Geico Insurance Company for the past 10 years.

As a congestive heart failure survivor, Fatima has had her heartbeat regulated at all times by a LVAD machine. Her upbeat personality, courage and faith gave her the strength to move forward and connect with other survivors throughout the community. Most recently she launched "Strong Heart 2 Soul," a consulting firm that offers guidance in health care. She also was an active participant and speaker for The American Heart Association, and a cohost on the radio cast, "Fire 716."

Fatima was a member of Potter's House Christian Church in Niagara Falls, NY for many years. Above all, Fatima cherished the time spent with her family, who will miss her deeply.

In addition to her mother, Fatima is survived by her children, Deonte Mathews and Londyn Mathews; her grandson, Demetri Mathews; two sisters, Nadia (Ramon) Baker and Sydni Jada Booze; her brother, Darryl Ray Green Jr., as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 29 from 11 AM – 12 Noon at Potter's House Christian Church, 723 7th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon.
