Fifi J. (LaMorticella) Fracassi, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday July 7, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Andrea and Phyllis (Petrillo) LaMorticella.

Fifi was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946. On June 6, 1949 she married Angelo Fracassi at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Fracassi predeceased her in 1965. Fifi worked as a cook at the former Seneca Lounge in Niagara Falls. Afterwards she was employed as a word processing operator at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls until her retirement in 1990. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, as well as the Socialites, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Cristoforo Colombo Society. In her leisure time, Fifi enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, Pokeno, and watching various television game shows.

Mrs. Fracassi is survived by her four children, Frank (Patricia) Fracassi of Lewiston, NY; Robert (Michelle Okrent) Fracassi of Las Vegas, NV; Angela (Christopher) Doldan of Cleveland, TN and Angelo 'Zig' (Anne Marie Woods) Fracassi of Clifton, NJ; five grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, Frank, Renee and Philip Fracassi, her sister Lena (Louis) Gobbo of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister-in-law of Albert "Sonny" (Catherine) Fracassi and Samuel Crisante both of Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Fracassi was also predeceased by two sisters, Palma (late Andy) Anderson, Rose M. LaMorticella, one brother Frank LaMorticella, her sister-in-law Sandra Crisante and brother-in-law John Fracassi.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NAIGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Everyone is invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday July 11th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
