Flora (DiGregorio) Cortese, 99, of Niagara Falls, NY, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cesidio and Colomba (Caruso) DiGregorio.  She married John Cortese, who predeceased her on March 28, 2001.  In 1946, the family opened Mario's Store which they operated until 1983.

Flora worked as a volunteer at the gift shop in Memorial Hospital for over 25 years.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, Danish needlepoint and spending time at the casino.  She also created and maintained beautiful Bonsai plants with her husband, John.

Flora is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Gary) DeLucco and Jacqueline (Ric) Lanier of Jupiter, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Mario F. (Lucille) DiGregorio, and a sister, Lidia (John) Frisoni.

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 5 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  Arrangements by M. J.
