Florence M. (Sirianni) Gaetano, 90 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family while under the loving care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Maria (Zito) Sirianni.
Florence was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. She married Benjamin N. Gaetano June 6, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her on August 8, 1986. Florence worked for Hotel Niagara and the refreshment stand at Hyde Park Golf Course both in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a past member of the Italian Sons & Daughters of America Power City Lodge. Nani, as she was affectionately known, was very caring to her family and was a great cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two children Dominic (Joan) Gaetano and Patricia (William) LaChance both of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren Renee (Josh) Reynolds, Amanda LaChance, Triplets Karla LaChance, Marc (Tomi) LaChance, Kimberly (Michael) Kidder, Noelle Gaetano and Dominic J. Gaetano; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Benjamin Reynolds, twins, Emily and Allison Kasprzak; Sister Nancy (late Angelo) Franjoine of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by brothers and sisters Pete (late Mary) Sirianni, Frank (late Josephine) Sirianni, Jenny (Late Sam) Berak, Natalie (late Sam) Mistretta, Angelo Sirianni and Rose (late Frank) Falvo
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday January 11th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, corner of 27th and Independence Ave, Niagara Falls, NY with the Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
