Florence (Rizzuto) Maggi, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday May 9th, 2012 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Antoinette ( D'Amico) Rizzuto.
Florence was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On November 7, 1953 she married Joseph Maggi at St. Patrick's Church in Canada. She was employed as a waitress for several years at the former Page's Whistle Pig in the Town of Niagara. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, who she loved talking to on the telephone. She also liked music and sang with the songs on the radio. Going to Canada was another of Florence's favorite things to do.
In addition to her husband of fifty eight years, Florence is survived by two sons Jack (Beth) Maggi of the Town of Niagara and Joseph Maggi. Two grandsons Joseph William and Nicholas Anthony Maggi, one brother Joseph (late Lena) Rizzuto of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Jennie (late Casper) Cipolla of Sanborn, NY and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers Charlie (late Jeanette) Rizzuto, Mike (late Doris Rizzuto, James (late Marion) Rizzuto and Sam (late Christine) Rizzuto.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday May 12th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
