Florice G. (Fehrman) Palermo 86 of Youngstown, NY formerly of Niagara Falls, surrounded by her loving family, went home to be with Jesus her Savior and Lord on August 6, 2016. Born in Madison, Wisconsin on May 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lyle and Lillian (Fournier) Fehrman.
On June 6, 1947, she married Salvatore Palermo in St. Louis, MO and together they moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1950. Mr. Palermo predeceased her on February 25, 2010. Florice worked as a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio and later as a waitress at the former Jay-Lu Restaurant. Florice loved traveling and camping in the Adirondack's. In her leisure time she also enjoyed reading and gardening. Above all, Florice will be remembered for her devotion to her family and tradition. She especially loved family picnics, holiday gatherings and weekly Sunday dinner.
Mrs. Palermo is survived by her children, John Palermo, Michael (Patricia) Palermo, James (late Caroline) Palermo, Kim (Anthony) Montecalvo, Michelle (Steven) Hoffman and was predeceased by one son, James Palermo. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Josh, Sal, Philip, Andrea, Zachary, Shane, Jordan, Kristin, Jennifer, Richard and Olivia, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, one brother Richard Fehrman, one sister, Cristine O'Neill and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Joseph Hoffman, Florice Hoffman and one brother Robert Fehrman.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 10th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Sam Ciffa officiating. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
