Fortunato "Freddie" Torcasio, 46, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Saturday May 15, 2010 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Amber Torcasio of Niagara Falls, NY.
Freddie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He was employed as a general maintenance worker for the City of Niagara Falls, NY and a concrete finisher for Talarico Concrete in Niagara Falls. Most recently he worked as a chef at various hotels in Niagara Falls, NY. He loved to cook and while in school he played hockey. Freddie loved his daughter, Mykalina, very much and enjoyed spending time with her.
In addition to his daughter and mother, Freddie is survived by his companion Tina Hall, his uncle Frank (Mary) Torcasio of Niagara Falls, NY; his aunt Mary (Dave Daigle) DuVal of Myrtle Beach, SC; two great aunts and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Fred (late Bernice) Torcasio and Madeline (late Angelo) Milazzo and one aunt Joni Torcasio.
Friends may call on Wednesday May 19th from 2 – 6 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Sam Ciffa officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
