Frances Ann Basile, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on June 28, 2021 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, Ont., she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Frances (Jamieson) Harding, Jr.

Ann, as she was known to her family and friends, came to the area at 3 years old with her family.  She was a 1958 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She was employed as the Office Manager for Dr. Edward Gillick for 30 years, retiring in 1996.  She also worked as a Dance Teacher for Miss Bev's School of Dance in Niagara Falls.  Ann was a member of the Little Theatre, where she participated in many Broadway shows and plays, including Oklahoma, South Pacific, Guys & Dolls and Pajama Game.  She was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the St. Jude Shrine in Lewiston, NY.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her children, Joseph H. (Jane) Azbell, Jr. and Kim M. (Richard) Dorato; her stepchildren, Marie Basile and John (Mandi) Basile; her grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Azbell, Meghan (Dan) Hackmer, Amy (Matt Johnson) Dorato-Johnson, Dana (Justo Perez) Dorato, Ricky Dorato, Michael (Lindsay) Dorato, Amy Basile and Adam Basile; her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Evan and Ella Azbell, Mikey Dorato, and Nevaeh and Pierce Hackmer, as well as many cousins.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Dana Ann Azbell, her husband, Camillo N. "Tom" Basile, her former husband Joseph Azbell, Sr., and her brother, Charles W. Harding III.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will begin at 7 PM.   Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY, at the convenience of the family.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.
