Frances L. Gibbons, 82, of the Town of Niagara, NY, died on Monday December 15, 2008 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Franklin, PA she was the daughter of the late Mack and Pearl (Beatty) Gibbons.

Frances came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family and attended local schools. For thirty years she was employed as a waitress at the former Vix Coffee Shop in Niagara Falls. Frances was loved by everyone that knew her, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Frances is survived by her two children Paul Gibbons and Debra Dufour both of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren Michael Lee of Niagara Falls, Jason and Sara Dufour of Ashburn, VA; Carl Dufour of Lakeland, FL and was predeceased by one grandson Calvin Dufour. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters; Albert (Edith) Gibbons of St. Petersburg, FL; Richard (Caroline) Gibbons, Dorothy (late Russell) Lounsbury, Mary (late William) Seelbinder, Sam (Marcia) Gibbons all of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one sister Ruth Peyatt and three brothers Lloyd (Judy of Niagara Falls, NY) Gibbons, Robert Gibbons and James Gibbons.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Friday December 19th at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Hayes officiating. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. If desired memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
