Frances M. "Pina" Mendelsohn, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Monday April 4, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Domiano and Grace (Mangano) Fiorello.

Pina, as everyone affectionately knew her, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She was a former member of the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society and the Socialite Seniors both in Niagara Falls, NY.

Mrs. Mendelsohn is survived by her husband Ted Mendelsohn, one son Christopher (Bernice) Baldassarre of Youngstown, NY; two grandchildren Carina (Joseph) Webber of Youngstown, NY and Christopher Baldassarre II of Lewiston, NY; three caring goddaughters Donna (Dante) Cipollitti, Sharyn (Rocco) Pendola both of Niagara Falls, NY and Gloria (Carl) Albion of Youngstown, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters Rose M. (late Ennio C.) Baldassarre, Marie (late Joseph) Sorice, Carol (Eugene of Niagara Falls, NY) Badolato and one brother Salvatore Fiorello.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday April 8th at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
