Francesca Maria (nee Marra) DeMunda, 99, of Lewiston, passed away at Niagara Hospice House on March 14, 2021. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Concetta (Petrone) Marra.

Francesca graduated from Niagara Falls High School, and married Thomas Frances DeMunda at St. Joseph's Church in 1948. She worked full time at Moore Business Forms as an Executive Secretary for 25 years. She was involved in many local clubs and charities including The Mother's Club and the Secretary's Club, where she received several honors and an award for her contributions. She also belonged to The Ladies of Charity, visiting with the sick at both Memorial and St. Mary's Hospitals.

Additionally, as a member of St. Joseph's Church, Francesca gave many hours of her time to fundraising causes, including her annual Geranium sales each Spring. In addition, she was a member of the Third Sunday Group, which consisted women belonging to St. Joseph Church, and every year she hosted a summer cookout. Frannie, as many of her close friends referred to her, had a contagious smile and personality, and formed many personal friendships throughout her life.

Frannie traveled extensively to many countries internationally, as well as many states throughout the US.  She especially enjoyed California and Florida, where she and her husband spent many winters.  Additionally, Francesca loved to cook, and bake. For many years, she baked cookies for friends and relatives at Christmas. She played Bocce in the summer, crocheting in the winter, and loved going to the casino with her daughters.

Frannie was quite a woman and more, a fantastic mother and friend. May God bless her, and keep her. We will all miss our beloved Francesca, Frances, Frannie, Dimples, Aunt Fran, Mom, Grandma, and GG!

She is survived by her children, Gerry (Jim) Keefe, Kathy (Paul) Gallo, Joanne Finn, Janice Mertz (Tim O'Connor), Grandchildren; Jim Jr., Joe, Jeff, and Jason Keefe, Jenna (Brett) Keefe-Loscalzo, Adrienne (Aaron) Gallo-Bruner, Marisa Gallo, David Finn, Elliot Mertz (Tiffany Sudowski), and four great grandchildren, Nina, Renzo, and Lilah Bruner, and Peyton Gallo. She is also survived by one brother, Rocco (Jean) Marra, and one brother-in law Joseph (late Barbara) DeMunda, and many nieces and nephews.  Francesca was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, on December 17, 1992, as well as her siblings, Anna Mae Marra, Sara (late Norman) Petri, Joseph (Phyllis) Marra.

Private visitation will be held for the family.  Francesca's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 19 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Everyone please assemble at church.  Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements by M.J.
