Francesco LiPomi, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Elderwood at Wheatfield, NY.  Born in Cerda, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Leonardo and Antonina (Tuso) LiPomi.

Mr. LiPomi married Elena (Barresi) LiPomi on February 26, 1966 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy and shortly after their marriage they settled here in the Niagara Falls, NY area. Frank was employed in his younger years in construction through the Laborers Local #91 with various local contractors.  He then went on to work at the Union Carbide Corporation later known as Stratcor as a Chemical Operator retiring in 1995 after over 25 years of dedicated service.

Frank was an extraordinary fruit and vegetable gardener who nurtured prized fig trees. He enjoyed canning his fruits and vegetables as well as winemaking.  He loved to sing, watch western movies, regularly walked the Mall with his friends and formerly played Bocce in the Hyde Park Leagues.  Above all Frank centered his life around his family who were truly his pride and joy.

In addition to his wife Elena of 56 years, Francesco is survived by his children, Antoinette (Angelo) Genco and Leonardo M. LiPomi; granddaughter, Joelle Genco; his siblings, Pasqua (late Joseph) Miceli and Leonardo LiPomi as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday February 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Francesco's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in Holy Family Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27 ^th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial offerings may be made to Mt.
