Francis W. Loan, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday March 18, 2009 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Elmira, NY he was the son of the late Warren and Cecelia L. (Stanton) Loan.

Francis served in the Army National Guard and for the past seven years he has been the proprietor of the Three Star Motel in Niagara Falls. Prior to working in the motel industry, Francis worked in both the construction and pipeline service fields as a mechanical engineer for various energy companies.

Mr. Loan is survived by his wife Lucy and several children, grandchildren, one sister, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday March 21st from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
