Frank Antonucci, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary E. (DeLorenzo) Antonucci; and the beloved husband of the late Palmira "Ginger" Antonucci, whom he married on April 8, 1972 at St. Joseph's Church.
Frank was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and attended the University at Buffalo. He was a member of the IBEW Local 237 Electricians Union, and employed as a Foreman with Ferguson for many dedicated years prior to his retirement. He also taught for several years in the apprentice program at the Union.
Frank had a true zest for life and enjoyed traveling, boating, water and snow skiing. He also had a love for roller coasters and relished numerous theme parks throughout the east coast. Frank enjoyed sports and was fortunate to have attended one of the early Super Bowls with his father, Peter, as well as the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY with his wife, Ginger.
Frank enjoyed telling stories and was remarkably mentally sharp up until his final days. Above all, he was a devoted husband, who centered his life around his family. He will be dearly missed.
Mr. Antonucci was predeceased by his wife on November 23, 2012. He is survived by his sister, Martha Jean Runca; his nephew Carlo F. Runca; his step-daughter, Donna (Edward) Adamski; grandchildren, Denise M. Adamski and Darlene M. (Kenneth) Redmond; and his great-grandchildren, Adrianna M., Natalie M. and Nathan M. Redmond.
Private funeral services followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
