Frank J. Carey, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 6, 2022 at his residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late James J. and Dolores A. (Rotella) Carey.

Frank was a graduate of Calasanctius Preparatory School in Buffalo, NY.  He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Niagara University, where he later earned a Master's Degree in Library Science.  Frank retired from Daemen College, where he served as the Director of the RIC and Library Services.

Frank was an avid reader and music lover. A talented guitarist, he played in several bands throughout the Buffalo area. Frank also enjoyed swimming and strolling along the gorge. He attended mass at St. Joseph's Church, where he volunteered at the Outreach Food Pantry.  Above all, Frank treasured the time spent with his loved ones.

Frank is survived by his brothers, Peter D. (Janet) Carey, and John J. (Beth) Carey, his beloved nieces and nephews, Peter (Aubrey) Carey, Melissa Carey, Bekah (Matt) McGovern, Micah Carey, Nathan Carey, Joshua Carey, and Siobhan (Coby) Walker; and his great-nephew, Rowan; his aunts, Anna Mae (late Frank) Rotella, and Anne (late Joseph) Diggins, as well as by several cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Frank's Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 10:00am at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Niagara Falls Public library.
