Frank J. Colavecchia, age 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at his residence on December 30, 2019 surrounded by his family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born December 2, 1946 in Limosano, Italy, he was the loving son of the late Angelo and Assunta (Frosolone) Colavecchia.

Frank came to Niagara Falls with his family at the age of 9. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 8, 1968 he married Laura (Ruffner) Colavecchia at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Frank served proudly in the National Guard from 1972 to 1974, training in Kentucky. He was the owner and operator of Colavecchia Collision in Niagara Falls for 45 years until his retirement.

Frank loved small game hunting, especially in the Southern Tier, with his cousins John and Rick Frosolone, and his Uncle Victor Frosolone, and with his dogs, Pokie and Susie. In addition, he was a member of the LaSalle Sportsman's Club. He was devoted to his work at the collision shop, and enjoyed buying and selling cars at auctions. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Frank is survived by his children, Gina, Michele and Frank Colavecchia; his grandchildren, Alera, Kylee and Kenna Colavecchia, his aunt, Florence (late Victor) Frosolone, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Saturna "Cindy" (Paul) Williams.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
