Frank Critelli, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Cubello) Critelli.
Frank was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He was educated at the former St. Joseph Elementary School and Trott Vocational High School. He served in the United States National Guard, and on February 12, 1966 married Patti F. (Pluto) Critelli. Frank was employed by Tirabassi Construction Co. and worked on the New York State Power Project. He later worked for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority as a bus operator and retired in 2000 after 30 years of service. Frank was a devout Catholic and member of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish in Niagara Falls. He was also a member of the YMCA in Niagara Falls and an ardent supporter of P.A.L. (Police Athletic League). He enjoyed taking long walks throughout the city, especially on Goat Island and riding the public buses. Frank also loved being with his dogs, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of forty eight years, Mr. Critelli is survived by two children, Cynthia Critelli-Atkinson and Frank Joseph Critelli both of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son Edward Franklin Critelli. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Crystal Atkinson, Theresa Atkinson and Kevin Atkinson; four great-grandchildren Lamya West, Lamani West, Ayonna Atkinson and Timothy Hicks, Jr., one brother Alfonso (Delores) Critelli of Riverside, CA as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one sister Marian (late Pat) DeFranco.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 8th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev.
