Frank C. Janese, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Anna (Pucci) Janese; and the beloved husband of Rosalie V. (Clark) Janese, who he married on February 19, 1952 at St. Joseph's Church.

Frank was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and retired from Great Lakes Carbon in 1994 after 40 years. He was an excellent football and softball player, and competed for many years in the Industrial leagues. In 2005, Frank was inducted into the Niagara Falls Old Timers Sports Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishments. He was also a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees. "Go Bills!"

Following his retirement, Frank and Rose became snowbirds and enjoyed many winters at their home in Haines City, FL. Together they enjoyed shuffle board, bocce tournaments, playing cards, bingo and several cruises among many other activities.

In addition to his wife of 69 years, Mr. Janese is survived by his children, William (Sharon) Janese, James (Barbara) Janese and Debra (Robert) Forgione; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers and one sister, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 7 from 1 – 4 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Mr. Janese's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
