Frank L. Phillips, "Papa", 90, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on June 13, 2020 at his residence while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Kane, PA he was the son of the late Louis and Sarah (Serianni) Phillips.

Frank came to Niagara Falls as a child with his family.  He graduated from Trott Vocational High School.  He served proudly as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953.  On June 8, 1957, he married Patricia (Tompkins) Phillips in Niagara Falls, NY.  Frank was a co-owner of C & I Roofing, where he worked for over 30 years.

Frank was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society, Knights of Columbus, The Niagara Catholic Men's Club, and was a member and Eucharistic Minister at Prince of Peace Church.  In addition, Frank enjoyed participating in the Ashland Avenue Reunion.  He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, and dancing the jitterbug in his younger years. Frank was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan, and loved to share stories of his youth to anyone that would listen.  Frank was affectionately called the Mayor, as everywhere that he went he would know someone.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Frank is survived by his children, Mark Phillips, Michele (Donald) Luscher, Dianne (William) Jasek, and Frank (Cindy) Phillips; his grandchildren, Jonathan Simon, Christina (Petr Ruben) Jasek, Alexandria Jasek, Nicholas Jasek, and Ryan (Jessica) Knapp; great grandchildren West and Jack Knapp, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his sister, Marie C. Phillips.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17 ^th from 3 -7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Due to current circumstances, building capacity will be monitored to adhere with current regulations.  Frank's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Everyone please assemble at church.  Entombment with Military Honors to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.   If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
