Frank M. Serchia, 83, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2018 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born September 26, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Americo and Amelia (Elia) Serchia.

Frank attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School.  He served in the Army National Guard during the 1950's.  Frank began his career as a carpenter with Niagara Builders in Niagara Falls.  He went on to work on the construction of the Niagara Power Project, as supervisor for the Demolition of Buffalo, a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio, and manager of the Ted – Ra Club in Niagara Falls and Wedlin Inn Ski Lodge at Kissing Bridge.  Frank also owned and operated Juniors Truck Stop in Niagara Falls until his retirement.

Frank was a 40-year member of the Ashland Avenue Reunion Committee. He had a tremendous love of music, people, and his Italian Heritage. Above all, Frank especially loved his family, who he united over three continents and multiple generations through his own genealogical research and spending time socializing with his friends.

Mr. Serchia is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Gerianne S. (Simon) Serchia, three daughters, Christine M. Serchia (Duncan Barrett), Jennifer A. Serchia and Frances M. Serchia, one brother, Paul (late Barbara) Serchia, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was also predeceased by three sisters, Frances Esser, Lauretta (late Joseph) Agnello and Evelyn (late Warren) Zenner.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. at M.J.  COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 7 ^th at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
