Frank Sgro, 60 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday April 9, 2010 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late John and Mafalda (Fera) Sgro.

Frank has lived in the Niagara Falls area all his life. He was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and During the Vietnam War he served with the United States Marine Corp. He was employed with the City of Niagara Falls Trades Department. He worked as a brick layer for over 40 years and was a member of the Local #3 and the original Local #2 Brick Layers Union. He was also a member of the American Legion. Frank enjoyed time with his family and loved playing with his granddaughter Gia.

Survivors include his three children Liza (Christian) Sgro-Woelk of California, Adam (Renee) Sgro and Tiffany Sgro both of Niagara Falls, NY, One granddaughter Gia Maria Sgro, One brother John (Louise) Sgro of Niagara Falls, NY, Two sisters Doreen Sgro and Debra (James) Curtis both of Niagara Falls, NY. Frank also leaves behind his former wife and now forever friend Regina MacNeil of Niagara Falls, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also predeceased by a sister Sharon Greenwood.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-7pm at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral service will begin Tuesday April 13th at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
