Fred A. Curtis, 58 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday December 21, 2013. Born in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Joe D. and Cora Mae (White) Curtis.
Fred served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on August 5, 1974. He was extremely handy and could fix most anything. He worked as a millwright and in construction for various local Niagara Falls companies. Fred was also an avid reader and ion his spare time, enjoyed science fiction movies and working on cars. Most of all, he will be remembered as a devoted family member and friend who would never hesitate to help them in a time of need.
Fred is survived by his two brothers, Thomas J. (Wanda) Curtis of Gasport, NY, Gregory Curtis of Lockport, NY, one sister Billie A. Curtis of the Town of Niagara, NY and was predeceased by and infant brother David D. Curtis. He is the loving fiancée of Sharon (Porter) Lynch, uncle of, Robert Curtis and Melissa (Michael) Morgan, great-uncle of Skylar and Kaeden and also survived by several cousins, and his dear friend, Dan Sims.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Saturday December 28th at 11:00 a.m. concluding with military honors.
