Freddie B. Kennedy, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 12, 2026, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Thomaston, Alabama, he was the son of the late Susie B. (McKinney) Kennedy.

Freddie relocated to the Niagara Falls area in 1975 and made the community his home for more than five decades. He was employed locally for many years with Myles Paving, Ken Young Paving, and Rose Paving, where he was known as a hardworking and dedicated employee.

Freddie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, playing the guitar, and tending to his garden. He was also an avid fan of wrestling, boxing, and classic western films. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.

Freddie is survived by his beloved companion of 48 years, Debra L. (Paonessa) Currie; his children, Michael Paonessa, Ronald Currie, Katrina Kennedy, and Freddie Kennedy, Jr.; his eight grandchildren, Mi'Kala, Jada, Ayanna, Ija, Freddie, Ly'Sire, Na'Riayah, Willow, Emmanuel and Eli’y; his sisters, Minnie (the late Benjamin II) Prince and Mary Alice (the late Theodore) Houston; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his mother, Freddie was predeceased by his son, Willie Allen; his siblings, Annie R. (the late Richard) Maxwell, Callis (the late Ernestine) Kennedy, Sr., Joe James (Barbara Joyce) Kennedy, and Annie L. Kennedy.
