Gasper L. Aceti, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at Northgate Manor. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Anna (Burno) Aceti.
Gasper moved with his family to Niagara Falls, Ontario at a young age. He graduated from SCVI in Ontario, where he met the love of his life, Susan (Radigan) Aceti. He was drafted into the Vietnam War, proudly serving in the United States Air Force, and later returned to the United States.
Gasper and Susan were happily married on October 7, 1972, at Our Lady of Peace Church in Ontario.
For over 31 years, Gasper was employed at General Motors, dedicating himself to his work until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, tending to his lawn, and took great pride in keeping it immaculate. He also had a well-known sweet tooth, especially for pastries, donuts and chocolate. Gasper also loved dogs, especially the many loyal companions he cared for throughout his life. Above all, Gasper cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Gasper is survived by his children, Lori (Ken) Charnely, Michael (Jennifer) Aceti and Tori Aceti; six grandchildren, Brodie, Kendall, Thomas, Lillian, Gavin and Talon; his siblings, Linda Castrilli and Salvatore (Linda) Aceti, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susan, 2022, and was also predeceased by one sister, Tina (Glenn) Taylor.
Gasper’s children extend their heartfelt gratitude to his devoted home aides—Mary Ann, Tenisha, Destiny, and Sharon—for the compassionate care they provided to their father at home following their mother’s passing. They also wish to thank the entire staff of Niagara Hospice and Northgate Manor for the kindness, dignity, and support shown to him over these last few months.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 7 from 3 – 6 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM. Prayer services and words of remembrance will begin on Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 AM, followed by Military honors and entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
