Gene A. Palazzo, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday March 22, 2009 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Gennaro and Angela M. (Conte) Palazzo.

Gene was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. During World War II he serviced in the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater and was honorably discharged. He was employed by E.I. DuPont in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 1980 after forty five years of service.

Mr. Palazzo is survived by his wife of sixty five years Florence (Montagna) Palazzo, two sons Richard Palazzo and John Palazzo both of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren Paul Palazzo, Lori Palazzo, Marcus (Michelle) Palazzo and Jason (Carla) Palazzo, three great grandchildren Joshua Palazzo, Nigel Palazzo and Gianna Palazzo, one brother Tony (Lorraine) Abbruzzo of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers Benny (late Rose) Palazzo and Onofrio "Murphy" (Rose of Niagara Falls, NY) Palazzo and one sister Millie (late Anthony) Gravanti.

There will be no visitation. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
