Genevieve 'Geane' T. (Stanek) Manarino, 84, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at Phoenix Mountain Skilled Nursing Facility in Phoenix, AZ. Born in Buffalo NY she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Stanek.

Geane, as she was known to her family and friends, was raised and educated in Buffalo, NY. She was employed as a supervisor at F. N. Burt Co., Inc. in Buffalo. On April 17, 1948 she married Frank Manarino in Buffalo, and shortly afterwards they moved to Niagara Falls, NY to reside. Mr. Manarino predeceased her in March 1968. Geane was a longtime devoted member of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls.

Mrs. Manarino is survived by two children, Gregory F. (Patricia) Manarino of Niagara Falls, NY and Anne M. Parot of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren, Tricia Manarino, Frank Manarino, Jarrod Parot and Taylor Parot and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two sisters and five brothers, Stella Brighton, Helen Dzielski, Joseph Stanek, Stephen Stanek, Richard Stanek, Edward Stanek and Henry Stanek.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE WILL ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
