Geno Badolato, Sr., 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Louis and Jenny (Caterisano) Badolato; and husband of the late Carole A. "Carrie" (Fiorello) Badolato.
Geno attended local schools and served in the United States Army during World War II until his honorable discharge. He was employed for 40 years as the superintendent of the Niagara Frontier State Park Commission retiring in 1988.
Geno enjoyed going to OTB, as well as the casino. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens, New York Yankees and the New York Giants.
Mr. Badolato was known by all as a kind hearted, humble and caring man who was the happiest when he was with his family who he loved dearly. He is survived by his daughter Sharyn (Rocco) Pendola, Michael A. (Nancy) Badolato, and was predeceased by his son, Geno (Elizabeth) Badolato, Jr. He was also the proud grandfather of Rocco (Judy) Pendola, Michael J. (Allie) Badolato, David Badolato, Chris Badolato and Michael A. Badolato, Jr.; beloved great-grandfather of Marisa Pendola, Angelo Michael, Kylee, Rocco and Hannah Badolato dear brother of the late Anne (late Frank) DeFazio, late Frances (late Patsy) Arone, late Rachel (late Harvey) Wakley, and the late Anthony (Sunny) Badolato. He was also loved and respected by many nieces and nephews.
