George W. Emmens, 59, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Albert Sr. and Jeanette (Meyers) Emmens.

George attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School in Niagara Falls, NY. He served in the U.S. Army from September 3, 1974 until his honorable discharge on January 31, 1997 and for more than sixteen years was stationed throughout Germany and South Korea. Above all, George spending time and tending to his late black lab, Diablo.

George is survived by his two sisters Alice Emmens and Jeanette (Hayden) Howell both of Niagara Falls, NY; his loving companion, Michelle, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Albert Emmens, Jr. and his wife Elida (Schneider) Emmens.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 28th from 11 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
