George 'Georgie' V. Kraft, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Thursday July 5, 2012 at the V.A. Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late George and Bernice M. 'Luvey' (Printup) Kraft.

Georgie was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in Sanborn, NY. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1980. George was a member of the V.F.W. Post 54 and the American Legion Post 1664 both located in Niagara Falls, NY. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed NASCAR racing, completing crossword puzzles as well as drinking beer.

Georgie is survived by his loving companion Christine Thompson, one daughter Teresa Kraft (Eric Stryker) of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son Matthew Kraft in 1994. He is also survived by two grandchildren Corey Stryker and Patrick Stryker, two stepsons Robert (Nicole) Maines and Terry (Traci) Maines, two brothers Ernie (Cheryl) Kraft of Niagara Falls, NY and Gary 'Herbie' (Cynthia) Kraft of South Carolina; two sisters Marylynn Kraft of Ottawa, Canada and Freda (Carl) Morris of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four brothers Arnold Kraft, Walter Kraft, Keith (Cindy) Kraft and Maurice (Carol) Kraft.

Visitation will be on Sunday July 8th from 3 – 7:00 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Walter Printup Officiating.
