Gerald "Jerry" Stanley Gavin, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Alfonse "Al" S. and Pauline "Morley" (Morell) Gavin.

Jerry attended Stella Niagara and Our Lady of Lebanon School before graduating from Bishop Duffy High School in 1972, where he excelled in Track and Field and History. Following graduation for Bishop Duffy, he attended Niagara University and Daeman University.

Jerry spent many years working in the family business, Gavin Tours, serving as a tour guide, a role he cherished. His natural curiosity, warm personality, and deep knowledge of world history made him a memorable and engaging guide to all who traveled with him.

A true world history buff, Jerry was also an avid music enthusiast with an extensive collection spanning every genre. He found true joy in fishing, reading. A devout Catholic, he lived his faith with sincerity. Above all, Jerry was a loving son and brother whose gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his devoted brothers, Kenneth "Kenny" Gavin, Dr. David Gavin (late Ruth Ann, late Joan), and John "Jack" Gavin (Connie). He will be dearly missed by his cherished nieces and nephews, John Gavin (Carly), Dr. Juliann Gavin, Capt., U.S. Army, and Cheyenne Gavin Buttrey (Cole).

Visitation will be on Monday, December 22 from 10 – 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where Jerry's Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM.
