Geraldine 'Jere' A. Deuro, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Sara (Ciambrone) DeMunda.

Jere was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY.  On June 30, 1956, she married John M. Deuro at St. Joseph's Church.  Jere was employed as a clerk for US Customs in Buffalo, NY for many years.  She was a member of the Buffalo Deaf Club and was very proud that her family was one of the founding members of the Fatima Shrine in Youngstown, NY.  Jere enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, with her close knit 'poker club' friends, as well as going to the Seneca Casino.  In addition, she enjoyed listening to Harry Belafonte, bowling and painting.  Above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, Mrs. Deuro is survived by her sons, Jan (Claudia) Deuro, Jon Deuro, and Jason (Dawn) Deuro; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Randi) Deuro, Justin (Christine) Deuro, and Christopher (Jenn) Deuro; her brother, Michael (Charmaine) DeMunda, and her beloved dog, Macy.  She was predeceased by her sister, Arlene DeMunda.

There will be no prior visitation. Geraldine's funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19 ^th at 12 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, 500 Riverdale Avenue, Lewiston, NY 14092.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
