Geraldine F. 'Jerry' Brusino, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Saturday March 7, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank B. Brusino, Sr. and Faustina (Cipollone) Brusino.

Jerry attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948. She also graduated from Niagara University and the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving her Master's Degree in Education. Jerry worked in the office at Empire Builders and Carborundum Corporation, both in Niagara Falls, NY as well as for Carrier Systems in Syracuse, NY. She was a business teacher at Barker Central Junior / Senior High Schools, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the New York State United Teachers, Western New York Retired Teachers Association and the Barkers Teachers Association. Jerry enjoyed volunteering at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY and was a participant and drill instructor in the hospital's cardiac rehabilitation unit. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and was a member of the Neptune Ski Club and Niagara Ski Club. She also enjoyed helping in several area food pantries, and was known for her quilting projects that she donated to charity and created for her family members.

Survivors include her brother Frank B. (Susan) Brusino of Grand Island, NY; three nephews Lee A. (Eileen) Brusino of Tonawanda, NY, Karl P. (Wendi) Brusino of Niagara Falls, NY, Dr. F. Gregory (Jennifer) Brusino of Raleigh, NC; great nieces and great- nephews Haley,Joseph, Alora, Brandon, Catja, and Donovan Brusino; four aunts and many cousins.

Friends may call Tuesday 6 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin Thursday March 12th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue Niagara Falls, NY with the Rev. William Allegretto CM, officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Sacred Heart of Jesus 5269 Lewiston Rd., Lewiston, NY 14092.
