Geraldine Scipione, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, joined her beloved husband and son in heaven on Monday April 9, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House in Spartanburg, South Carolina, after a short illness. Born on April 3, 1921 in Dilltown, PA she was the daughter of the late Donato and Pia Marie (Romaldi) Toscani.

Geri attended schools in PA and married her husband Patsy in Cumberland, Maryland on July 6th, 1939. She devoted her life to caring for her husband, family and friends who enjoyed all of her homemade breads, pastas, and desserts. She looked forward to spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and would light up whenever she saw their faces. She volunteered with The March of Dimes, donated home baked goods for sale at The Fatima Shrine, and also enjoyed helping her sons at Scipione Brothers Meats.
Geri's passion for cooking has influenced generations of her family, who continue to prepare her traditional recipes. She was a sweet, patient, compassionate, wonderful person who left a lasting impression with all who knew her.

Geri is survived by two children Richard (Betty) Scipione of Lewiston, NY; Patricia (David) Brown of Spartanburg, SC and was predeceased by her husband Patsy and one son Larry Scipione. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Larry (Kate) Scipione, Geri-Lynn Scipione, Richard (Debbie) Scipione, Robert (Sarah) Scipione, David (Jeanine) Scipione, Michael Sharpe and Shelby Brown, eight great grandchildren Dylan, Addisyn, Brandan Grier, Nicholas, Anthony, Christopher, Cameron Mallone and Alexa, two sisters Clara (late Andrew) Scipione of MD and Eve (late William) Capretti of SC and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Geraldine was also predeceased by one sister Lena (late Pio) Poeta and one brother Dino (late Olga) Toscani.

Visitation will be on Monday from 5 - 9 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will begin on Tuesday April 17th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
