Gilbert Walton, Sr., 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 9, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Gilbert was born and raised in Niagara Falls, attending local schools. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.  He was employed as a packager for many years at Prestolite Battery.  He enjoyed listening to his radio and police scanner, fishing, and tending to his garden and plants.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Mark Walton; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (nee Confer) Walton; his children, Gilbert Walton, Jr., John Walton, Debbie Walton, and Diane Petticord, as well as several siblings.
