Gino Bertozzi, 83 of Lewiston, NY passed away on July 26, 2017 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.  Born in Eglio, Italy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marianna (Divecchio) Bertozzi.

Gino was raised and educated in Italy and immigrated to the Niagara Falls area in 1954.  On November 12, 1955, he married Evelyn Bertozzi.  Gino was employed as a chemical operator for 40 years at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls until his retirement in 1997.  Gino was extremely handy and could fix just about anything.  He enjoyed working in his yard and was always the first person to volunteer his time to family and friends for any home improvement projects.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing bocce, wine making and was a member of the Occidental Retiree Club.  Gino especially cherished his visits and the memories of his family farm, Boschetto.  Above all, he will be remembered for his devotion to his family and the love for spending time with them.

In addition to his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Gino is survived by his three children, MaryAnn Bertozzi, Gina (William) Carbin and Joseph (Tammy M.) Bertozzi, six grandchildren, Katie J., Kelly (Adam), Rachel (Steve), Gina (Dan), Jerry (Molly) and Sarah (Matthew), many great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was also predeceased by a sister Fosca Giannotti.

Gino's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his sister-in-law, Ann (Rich) Baker for her self-sacrificing dedication and care to Gino and his family, as well as to the entire staff of Mt. St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday July 29 ^th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church 620 Center Street Lewiston, NY.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094.  Visit www.mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online guest register.
