Giovanna (Piciucco) Casilio, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday December 6, 2009 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Limosano, Compo Bosso, Molice, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna (Durante) Piciucco.

Giovanna emigrated from Italy to Canada in 1957. On June 21, 1958 she married Gino Casilio, and in 1959 moved to Niagara Falls, NY where she currently resided. Mr. Casilio predeceased her on September 2, 1983. Giovanna was a longtime devout parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls and faithfully prayed the rosary daily. Giovanna enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and took great pleasure in spending time with her family.

Mrs. Casilio is survived by her two sons: Anthony T. (Lori A.) Casilio, Esq., C.P.A., of Town of Niagara, NY and Frank P. (Lisa M.) Casilio of Troy, MI, her five grandchildren, Christiano Alexander Gino, Gabriello Francantonio, Anna Marie, Joseph Anthony and Christina Rose; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Aldino Piciucco, Ricardo Piciucco, Clotilda Donatelli and Esterina Daddario.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday December 10th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301 or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
