Gloria (Chapman) Doane, 80, of Wheatfield, NY passed away on Friday December 21, 2012 at Mt. St. Mary Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born and educated in Jacksonville, FL she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (McDowell) Chapman.

In October 1953, Gloria married Robert Doane in Jacksonville, FL and together they moved Niagara Falls, NY. She worked in the offices at Firth Jewelers in Niagara Falls, NY for many years. Mr. Doane predeceased her on March 10, 1980. During her leisure, Gloria enjoyed playing bingo and being with family.

Mrs. Doane is survived by three children, Marie (Ian) McLeod of Niagara Falls, NY, Vivian Masterman of Austin, TX, and Russell (Donna) Doane of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren, Valerie and Cory Masterman, Erin and Bradley McLeod, Christa, James, and Joseph Doane, and was predeceased by a grandson, Robert Doane. She is also survived by two brothers, Gene (Joyce) Chapman, and Thomas Chapman, both of Jacksonville, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased six siblings, Samuel, Herbert, Violet, Roy, Roger, and Edward Chapman.

Visitation will be on Wednesday December 26th from 11:00 AM – 12 NOON at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin at 12 NOON followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Rd. Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be at the convenience of the family.
