Grace Carmine (Riggie) Filicetti, 94, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Salvatrice (Nalbone) Riggie.

Grace was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. In 1943 she graduated from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA where she earned a Masters Degree in Education and later attended the University of Buffalo and earned a degree in social work. Following her graduation from Seton Hill University, she was inducted in Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic Graduate Honor Society. On July 16, 1947 Grace married Guido A. Filicetti at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls and was predeceased by him on February 7, 2015. For approximately four years during the late 1940's, Grace was employed as a social worker for the Children's Aide Society in Buffalo, NY. She enjoyed cooking, painting and traveling.

Grace is survived by five children Frank Filicetti of Lewiston, NY; Sally Jo Filicetti of Lake George, NY; Marianne (Brian) Rickert of Los Angeles, CA; Diane (Richard) Campbell of Florida and Guido "Joe" (Florencia) Filicetti of New York, NY; seven grandchildren, Dani Grace, Kate, Brian Jr., Nick, Drake, Tessie, and Marcos; two great-grandchildren; Ashlyn and Dylan and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings James (late Margaret) Riggi, Jessie Riggie, Jennie (late Ralph) Volante, Elizabeth (late James) D'Angelo, Margaret (late Harold) Ferry and Peter (Ellinor) Riggie.

Visitation will be on Wednesday July 20th from 3 – 8 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday, July 21st at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY 14174.
