Grace (Choppolla) Monteleone, 98, passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Punxsutawney, PA she was the daughter of the late Cologero "Chuck" and Venera (Sardaro) Choppolla. In 1928, she married Antonio 'Tony' Monteleone in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her on November 5, 1985.

Grace came to the Niagara Falls area with her family as a child, and during the 1940's worked at the former Niagara Searchlite in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a longstanding member of the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church as well as its Senior Citizens Club and the Ladies Church Guild.

Survivors include a son, Charles (Gwen) Monteleone of Niagara Falls, NY; eight grandchildren, Charlene (Mark) McCaw, Steven Monteleone, Ann Marie (Pat) Jones, Tammy (Ed) Lozan, Dana Monteleone Hinson all of California, Chas Monteleone of Niagara Falls, NY, Kim (Barry) Kremple, Teri (Rick) Chapman both of California, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; a sister Laura (late Joseph) DeRosa of Hamilton, ONT and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Grace was also predeceased by a son Steven Monteleone, a grandson Mark David Monteleone, a great-grandson Tyler McCaw; two sisters, Jennie (late George) Mulley, Antoinette (late John) Konecki, and three brothers, Joseph (late Ida) Choppolla, Anthony (Mary of Wilson, NY) Cipolla, and Charles (late Lucia) Choppolla.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 6 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 22nd at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Rd. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski, officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish.
