Loving Father and Grandfather
Haigaz "Higie" Kashmanian 81 of Sunrise, Florida formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away February 11, 2010. Born and educated in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Leon and Martha (Yandian) Kashmanian who both passed away in 1958. On January 7, 1956 he married Norma Gemma (Mauro) Kashmanian in St. Joseph's Church, Niagara Falls, New York. Mrs Kashmanian predeceased him on September 4, 2001.
Higie known as "Lungs" to his family and friends worked on the construction of the New York State Power Project. He later worked with the city of Niagara Falls as a carpenter and retired in 1982 after 25 years of service.
Survivors include three children Kori Kashmanian of Tamarac, Florida; Linda (Phil) Butry of Niagara Falls, NY and Leona Kunkle of Sunrise, Florida. His eight grandchildren Mark (Jamie) Farrell, Brian Farrell, Jimmy Scaringi, Gemma Butry, Joshua Butry, Karlee Kunkle, Haley Kunkle and Harrison Kunkle. One brother John Kashmanian of Banaff, Alberta, Canada. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Paul (late Nesha) Kashmanian who passed away in 1993
The family will be present to receive friends Saturday March 6th from 3 - 7p.m. at M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK.
