Harry M. Deal, Sr., 97, of Frostproof, Florida (formerly of Niagara Falls, NY), passed away on October 15, 2024 at Advent Health Hospital in Sebring, FL. Born in Wilcox, PA, he was the son of James H. and Elsie (Armagost) Deal.

Harry proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was stationed aboard the USS Shangri-La from 1944 until his Honorable Discharge in 1945. On November 22, 1950, he married Marilyn J. (Forder) Deal in Wilson, NY.  Mrs. Deal predeceased him on March 29, 2016. Harry was employed as a Mechanic at Niagara Mohawk for 39 years. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed playing euchre, pegs, coin collecting, gardening, traveling in his RV, and fishing. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Throughout his life, The "Big Deal" exemplified kindness and compassion and an ability to make everyone around him smile, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him. A man of integrity and humor, he taught us the importance of enjoying life and being the best people that we could be. His laughter and stories will forever be missed, yet his spirit will continue to guide us. Though he may have left this world, his love and legacy will live on forever in our hearts.

Harry is survived by his children, Elaine (Brent) Daniels, Harry (Lynn) Deal, Jr., Edward (Laverne) Lepkosky and Thomas (Cheryl) Deal; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife of 65 years, Harry was predeceased by his brother, James H. (Amanda) Deal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25 from 4 - 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM.  Interment with Military Honors in North Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, NY.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
